Child Health Information Services Awarded ISO Certification, Reinforcing Data Security

Protecting young lives: Provide's commitment to information security stands firm with ISO certification for Child Health Information Services.

Child Health Information Services (CHIS) managed by Provide across multiple regions have achieved a significant milestone, securing ISO certification for IT and data security. This recognition underscores Provide's unwavering dedication to safeguarding sensitive health information of children across Colchester, Basildon, Cambridge, Norwich, and Dorset.

Having previously held the ISO 27001 certification for its IT and data services, Provide has now expanded this accreditation to encompass all its CHIS locations. This notable achievement follows meticulous external audits conducted in each location, ensuring adherence to stringent information security standards.

Helen Gray, Provide's Technology Systems Projects Manager, emphasised the company's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of information security. She highlighted the collective effort of CHIS staff and managers, attributing this accomplishment to their dedication and unwavering commitment.

Gray asserted, "ISO 27001 certification not only reflects our dedication to information security but also aligns with GDPR and Data Protection compliance, bolstering our overall information assurance. As custodians of vital information, this certification reaffirms our commitment to ensuring data security for both our own information and that of our valued customers."

CHIS is responsible for managing electronic records of children aged 0 to 19 registered with GP practices or schools, crucial in administering screenings, immunisations, and supporting health initiatives.

With ISO certification now spanning all CHIS locations, Provide stands as a testament to robust information security management systems, effectively identifying and preempting potential risks, thereby fortifying defences against breaches.

As part of its Cyber Essentials suite, Provide continues to uphold stringent information governance and compliance measures, reinforcing its stance as a trusted guardian of sensitive health data, ensuring the well-being of young individuals while setting high standards in cybersecurity.
